Maybe that'll bring Y/N's attention to him... and it definitely will bring the fan's attention. Soon enough, rumors about the couple dating start running around.

i've been so focused on IYHM for the past couple months... now that the pub date is so close, i'm full of giddy anticipation and terrible dread. so thank you everyone for the love and well wishes! it's really getting me through it.

I’m so glad you were able to put your idea forward and execute it! I think you’re the only author I’ve come across so far that has written a parental figure for two of the characters in the marauders fandom. it’s also so exciting to see someone invested in manghwas/webtoons/mangas! I’ve never really been into isekai but your fic has given me some motivation to look more into this specific genre.

I also think that you’ll be a great mum someday! you have such a safe aura, if that’s even a thing hahaha. it’s easy to interact with you and the way you’ve written the reader displays so much warmth, speaks volumes about the author’s (aka you) desire to stretch a hand of warmth to children and create a safe haven for them.

I love talking about my beloved tragic beautiful Dabi... and have been thinking about him so much since the recent episodes. He's so painfully soft behind the hurt and revenge...

Congrats on coming over to the Touya side! Absolutely better late than never and there is still plenty of Touya left to love. The Todorokis have the most interesting plot line in bnha in my opinion. I really love this story in spite of it's end, so I hope you find time to consume it fully. Since you're not a bnha fan yet I assume you haven't consumed the anime or manga content either.. but if I can say, he does not die in battle. And in my opinion, it's clear he lives on even post-war even if I wished to have seen a more concrete happiness for him! 😭

The best way to enjoy your favorite character is always to consume all the content for them lol. There's so many edits and fanart of his beautiful face and you are welcome to go through my blog tag of '#Dabi' if you wish for a place to see a good collection of them 🥺... And of course my personal favorite is reading him in fanfics, where we can truly explore his character.

If I may, might I introduce you to the other half of my love that will always go hand in hand with Touya for me... Takami Keigo/Hawks? 👀 They are basically two sides of the same coin.. constantly in parallel and Hawks is yet another tragic beautiful character. I particularly enjoy his interactions with Dabi in canon, but the fandom world for them together is endless and I could talk forever and absolutely rec some amazing fics if you decide that is also your cup of tea. 🤣

Oh plushie Dabi's yes! I want them all as well but have found them harder to come by than plushie Hawks so I am also still looking for him. (he is also sometimes quite deformed 😭 so it's hard to find good ones!) 🥲 But 'Banpresto' has released a few plushies of him in various sizes from mini keychain types to a medium more firm size and it depends which but some you can find online or others you'll have to import from Japan. I've used 'AitaiKuji' for a good place to browse in the past. There's also a 'Mochibi Dabi' which is more like a tsum tsum shape (relatively easy & affordable to buy). There's also some round ball plushies of him like from Fuwakororin and I've seen some custom fanmade kitty versions of him 🥺 like the one from AgiJagi. Beyond that he has a selection of figures, where his face looks better than others 🤣 so choose wisely (his nendo is super cute tho!). There's also been some collectible very expensive custom ones of him like the one from 'weareanimecollectors'. Anyways, happy merch collecting, I've only had the luxury to start doing more of this in the past few years so I'm no expert! But I can take some pics of the ones I have if you want to see mines. 😉

anyway i think it would be interesting to explore what feelings az would feel once everything actually sinks in, and that he needs to actually apologize. admittedly i think it would be fun it it came about because of him being jealous or something, but i know it's more realistic for it to be bc of the confrontation(perhaps during the one you've been talking about for a while?).

i think of all i'm most interested to see how everything az said in the beginning affects reader once they have a cordial relationship and/or a romantic one, where i think it's most likely that az just doesn't make up for the words he says because he's sure that r knows they're false and that he'd only said them in the heat of the moment and because he'd already vaguely apologized before and then having to deal with the fact that r's internalized it, at least somewhat. (admittedly this might be me projecting what i think i would do in the situation. praise kink go brr?).

oh! i'm also curious how you'll mend the comparisons to elain part tbh. quite a thing that's usually make or break in a relationship where i think i would be quite concerned if someone stayed in a relationship after that tbh. unsure how one would come back from that, but perhaps it is a personal thing.

So, someone has definitely mentioned the fact that if he starts acting better around reader only once her mental state begins improving, there’s the concern of “you only love me at my best” scenario, which is definitely not what we want! Anyhow, we’re getting closer to the main turning point in the story which I hope will be a relief to hear, so there’s going to be a lot of reconsideration on past decisions and adapting to new developments that arise as the story goes on, which in turn, will allow Az and reader’s relationship to evolve to something better and healthier :)

Honestly it’s not going to change dramatically, I don’t think? I think for the most part, it’s only the points of interest outside their relationship I’d like to keep quiet on, since those are more plot related and i’m honestly kind of excited/anxious to learn what people think when those Events happen! Also some of it, reader will also be learning on her own, so I’d like your experience to be as close to hers as possible, which includes for the most part not knowing if her life is changing for the worse or for the better :)

I think so much of this brain rot is because as a reader the effort isn't that significant on our end. 15-20 mins of reading and maybe a like or comment if necessary and that's all. As the writer on the other hand? So many hours spent in just coming with ideas, even more hours trying to articulate said ideas and make it coherent and fun to read, even more hours editing that stuff. Whew bitch. I remember why I gave up on my blog now 😭 but back to the point it's a major imbalance of effort and time put into the work from the parties. And after a point these people start feeling like they are owed their own specific fantasies and needs and it's just..girl I get it it's a self insert y/n fic but dj your kitty and go back to sleep instead of pestering an already tired and anxious writer.

Asmodeus hums a tune as he prances over to your room, a spring in his step and your favorite color of nail polish clutched in his hand. He squeals as quietly as he can and twirls around when he sees your door. The action makes him feel a little silly, but he doesn’t care.

“Oh, darling!” he calls, knocking on your door with a single knuckle.

He stands at your door for a few beats, bouncing on the balls of his feet as he waits for you to open your door and let him in.

You don’t.

Asmo’s smile falls, and immediately he’s worried. You didn’t say anything about going out with his brothers, did something happen? If he remembers correctly, this is usually when you’re having your downtime—

“Dear?” Asmo reaches for the doorknob, “I’m coming in, okay?”

When you still don’t say anything, he opens the door and steps inside.

Asmo breathes a sigh of relief when he sees a bundle of blankets on your bed and closes the distance between the two of you immediately.

“What’s wrong?” he asks, tentatively placing a hand on what he believes is your shoulder.

“Asmo...” he hears you murmur, and your cute face pops out of the mound of blankets but all he can see is how bloodshot your eyes are.

“What happened?!” Asmo gasps, the forgotten nail polish falling to the floor as he cups your face, “Oh, sweetheart...this won’t do. Come on, you can tell Asmo everything!”

i hate to sound cliche but im so sorry :((( it really sucks when something like that happens and you can't avoid the person at all. i dont really have a good grasp of romance problems like this so i hope i dont sound insensitive but things will get better. getting over someone is really hard and it can take months, especially when you see them being happy with someone else.

i'm not going to tell you to "be happy for him" because i know how heart wrenching rejection can be. you can be sad. it's okay to be sad about him not being with you. well, with the way tumblr works, reblogs are essentially made to help circulate and boost a post! think of it as a retweet, in the way that it posts it onto your account but still shows the original poster (it can also help you keep track of your fav fics by adding little tags that you can use to categorize!) but on the author's end, it helps boost a post and allows it to be seen by more people-- and with authors,,, that's kinda the best thing you can do for them; likes really don't do anything in the long run, and it can get especially discouraging when you've worked on something for hours or more, only for it to get absolutely no feedback or responses in return. so, less reblogs = less reach. and with little to no people seeing or reacting the works you've put your all into, many authors end up leaving the site.

and not only is it important to reblog, but it's also nice to leave a comment along with it!! it can be in the tags or in the reblog itself; i've found that most people don't really mind either one. but it can be something as small as a reaction picture/gif or a few sentences-- any amount feedback is great feedback.

reblogs are the driving force of the community; which is why im sure you've probably encountered a handful of posts filled with people pleading their audience to interact and get involved. and if you think that you don't want the people who follow you to see the stuff you read because you think it's embarrassing, (which, ouch. but i get it.) i promise you can just make a separate blog; maybe you'll even garner the audience you're looking for, and actually be able to talk to others about the things you read and like!

i really got carried away there but... reblogs have been a very big issue on tumblr for the longest. i know every writer probably related to my post which probably inspired your question, so i hope this goes to show how much of a frustration it can be.

i read your fic 'tiny light' and all I have to say is it's a very wonderful and lovely story, your writing is so pretty, even. the format is somewhat unique and it felt like a storybook which i actually adore since i love fairytale books w all my heart. especially the song is actually my favourite too haha <3

and i get it that it can be disheartening and discouraging to get less than u expected, but i guess it is what it is in this hellsite. most stans regardless of any fandom tend to mostly read smut, and it's nothing wrong since it's not like we don't read them too lol. but stories that don't contain smut, or contain less smut will pretty much have a hard time to gain interactions.

and that's the hard part.

since like, you can compare it with people nowadays liking fast food—anything fast and consumable which is once again not wrong, but the world just moves pretty quickly and the sayings always be like "to adapt."

but in writing, there's no need to feel like you have to often write smut just because there are less interactions. i mean, if you love to write stories without smut sometimes then follow your wishes bc i think that's the most important thing.

bc guess what, i actually cried so hard this year on feb because my story didn't gain the amount of likes i expected and that rlly hurt me to the point i went to create an anon ask to my favourite writer, and she created a whole paragraph which i appreciated alot but one thing that stood out to me the most is,

"keep writing, write what you love and one day you'll find your own tribe. but even if you don't find them, hey atleast you're still loving what you're doing and isn't that the most wonderful thing?"

it's a lie to say that i still don't expect likes or any form of interactions until now, but i've gradually worked on them that they don't affect me much anymore bc the most important thing for me now is to let out the story i wanted to tell, to perfect my craft and yk just put my story out there for people to find out and read someday like finding a treasure in the midst of the forest someday.
